Marching Band Awareness Week returns Tuesday 1st May 2018.

Launched in 2013 by Marching Band Activity United Kingdom, the Awareness Week runs annually on the first week of May and has seen the most successful series of promotion of Marching bands across all social networks.

Facebook users are invited to support the Marching Band Awareness Week by considering adding a frame to their profile picture. To add a frame search Marching Band Activity United Kingdom on www.facebook.com/profilepicframes

Marching Bands have staged extra performances, recruitment evenings and workshops during Marching Band Awareness Week. This ambitious campaign cannot fail to attract major coverage and hopefully help to raise more public awareness of community based marching bands.

Marching Band Activity United Kingdom provides an independent platform and continues to promote this unique activity nationally and locally, for anyone to share positive stories or indeed about things they are aware of coming up in the world of music and marching throughout the United Kingdom.

Bands are an important part of our cultural heritage ranging in formats and styles, from traditional parade units to interpretive bands that integrate carefully designed manoeuvres as well as costumed dance into their arena shows Based in local communities, bands involve and represent their local areas, supporting social cohesion and strengthening community identity.
