Update
BHMY have taken part in two contests in the past month. They placed first at Hornchurch and second at Colchester. The band is working through a succession of around 8 busy weekends, finishing with a camping trip to Walsall at the end of July. This Sunday the band competes at Rubery in Birmingham and the following weekend they can be found performing at the Duck Fair, Janes Lane Recreation Ground, Burgess Hill. In the same weekend, some members will be rehearsing with The Massed Bugle Band, preparing for a performance in September.

National Massed Bugle Band
Some BHMY members have joined with other bugle band members to form the National Massed Bugle Band. They are currently practising for a performance at Bedford BYBA contest in September this year.
